Former CEO, Ken Derr said it best when he said, "Iraq possesses huge reserves of oil and gas - reserves I'd love Chevron to have access to." Lobbying against the Kyoto Protocol: Chevron and Texaco executives advised Vice President Dick Cheney on energy policy. Parent company Texaco Inc is a member of the Global Climate Coalition. Toxic Pollution: They have destroyed environment and contaminated local people with their toxic wastes in Richmond (California, USA), in Ecuadorian Amazone, in Nigeria, in Indonesia, and in the U.K. Supporting brutal / repressive regimes: Chevron has no moral thoughts to work with dictatorial regimes in Burma, Haiti, and Nigeria.
