George W. Bush is expected to be present at the 4th Summit of the Americas, to be held from 4th to 5th November 2005, in Mar del Plata, Argentina.

On November 4th and 5th 2005 in the city of Mar del Plata, Argentina, the Organization of American States (OAS) will hold the 4th Summit of the Americas, where 34 heads of state from all over the continent will meet - with Cuba expressly excluded. At this Summit, the U.S. government and its followers will continue their attempts to impose their global agenda which has already been shown to: |
In Mar del Plata, the 3rd People's Summit will also take place from 1st to 5th November. Social movements will raise their voices and unite their struggles to show the Bush Government that Another America is Possible. Huge demonstrations are expected on 4th November.
We hope that many boycotters in the region will take part in this event and spread the word!
Besides the 3rd People's Summit, the actions in the streets are mainly being planned by a convergence space for activists named Grupo Bristol, which people from the Friends of the Earth group in Buenos Aires are participating in. They want to protest against US policies in areas such as climate change, GMO's, oil and the occupation of Iraq. They will be promoting Boycott Bush activities.
Bush also plans to visit Brazil on 6th November.
